Catherine Lucy McGinley, 88, of Louisville, CO passed away peacefully February 21, 2018. She was born April 2, 1929 in Wilkes-Barre, PA to Hubert and Geraldine (Mathisen) Quirk.
Catherine married Wilfred J. McGinley on February 7, 1953 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. They moved to Loveland, CO in 1969 from Pennsylvania.
Catherine was a homemaker. She was also a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She was active in The League of Women Voters, and Friends of the Loveland Library.
Catherine enjoyed sewing, tole painting and baking pies. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree at CSU at age 50 and enjoyed attending college with her children.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wilfred in 2005, two brothers Hubert and Charles Quirk and a sister Geraldine Gambill.
Catherine is survived by two sons; Christopher McGinley (Stephanie) and Neil McGinley, three daughters; Marian Pond (Stan), Nora Grina (Jonas), Evelyn Swanton (Doug), a brother Philip Quirk, sixteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosary prayers will be 9:30 AM, Monday, Feb. 26, 2018 at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Boulder, Mass of Resurrection will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday. Private inurnment will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Loveland, CO.
