Obituary for Dorothy Mae Margheim

Dorothy was born in Murdo, S.D. on November 13, 1931 to Jacob and Augusta Scholl. She moved to Holyoke with her family in 1932 and graduated High School in 1950.

She married Frederick (Fritz) Margheim August 27,1950 together they raised 3 sons: David, Bradley, & Wesley.

Dorothy and Fritz moved to Longmont, CO in 1962; and to Loveland, CO in 2015.

Dorothy leaves behind her husband Fritz of Loveland CO, and brother James Scholl of
Holyoke, CO; 3 sons: David Margheim & wife Jeanie of Estes Park, CO, Brad Margheim of Loveland CO and Wesley Margheim & wife Johnalyn of Ninole, Hawaii; 10 Grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, & 1great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents Augusta & Jake Scholl and grandson Adam
Margheim.

Dorothy loved the Lord, and was a faithful servant throughout her lifetime. She was a member
of the First Baptist church in Holyoke, Calvary Baptist Church in Longmont and Mountain Bible
Fellowship in Estes Park.

Dorothy was a homemaker and dearly loved her family, & friends. She loved to cook and had a
catering service with her dear friend Norma called “Lend a Hand”. She enjoyed entertaining.
Dorothy also worked in Holyoke at the courthouse, & jewelry store before marrying Fritz.
They moved to Longmont where she sold Avon for years, taught Sunday School, Vacation
Bible School, played the organ, piano, and sang in the church choir throughout her lifetime.
She was a leader of the Awana Girls Club. She headed the MOPS group and was a Wedding
Coordinator for Calvary Baptist. When she moved to Estes Park she was active in Church and
also became a Wedding Coordinator for Mountain View Bible Fellowship. She worked for a
period of time at the Chrysalis Gift Shop in the Stanley Hotel.

Services will be held on Friday January 26, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Good Samaritan Society Loveland, CO 2101 S. Garfield Ave. Loveland, CO. Reception following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of Dorothy Margheim is appreciated. Visit www.ahlbergfuneralchapel.com to share condolences.
