He graduated from Warren High School in 1950 and enlisted in the Air Force. In 1956 he met his future wife Mary Jean Robinson. They married in Livingston Montana in 1958 and spent the next 16 years traveling the world as Jack continued his military career. Their daughters, Kathy and Linda were lucky to share the adventure with them. Along the way, Jack completed his B.S. in Accounting from Montana State and his M.B.A from Michigan State. He spent 24 years serving in the Air Force and retired in 1974 as a Major. He was very proud of his service. Upon retiring, the family moved to Livingston Montana to allow the girls to complete high school in one location. Jack took and passed the CPA examination and worked as a CPA into his 80’s. Jack was a lifelong member of the Elks. He had the pleasure of serving as Exalted Ruler for the local lodge, district deputy for several terms and Exalted Ruler for the State of Montana from 2002 – 2003. He never was far from Elks Lodge 246 when he was in Livingston.
Jack was proceeded in death by his wife Mary Jean, his father, mother and his two brothers Clare and Gene. He is survived by his daughters; Kathy (Dennis) Korpela, Linda (Russ) Bachmeier, grandchildren; Rory (Bernice) Korpela, Krista (Kelly) Allard, Josh (T.J.)
