JoAnn Norain Steinhaus, 84, formerly of Lafayette, passed away November 28, 2018 at Spring Creek Health Care in Fort Collins, CO.

She was born July 19, 1934 in Idaho Springs, CO and moved with her family to Lafayette where she grew up.

In 1952 she married Robert Connell and they had two children Kenneth and Gayle. JoAnn later married Vernon Steinhaus.

During her lifetime she lived in Thornton, Westminster and Lafayette. JoAnn had worked for Montgomery Wards, operated a program for special needs children teaching them life skills and also helped Vern with his auto mechanic business.

JoAnn enjoyed cooking, painting and various crafts. She was an avid fisherman and loved camping.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Gayle Connell and sister Margaret Brown.

JoAnn is survived by her son Kenneth Connell (Vicky), grandchildren Jason Connell (Annetta) and Andy Connell (Jennifer) and great grandchildren Logan, Lucy, Brooke, Kayla and Jacob.
