Alice Jean (Giger) McDaniel went to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior Thursday, September 20, 2018.
Alice was born November 8, 1951 in Chase County, KS to Edwin and Dorothy (Willey) Giger. Alice graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelors Degree in Education. Alice married Michael McDaniel August 11, 1974 and they raised 4 children. After her children were raised, Alice worked as an Administrative Assistant and Trainer in the technical training industry. She enjoyed painting, photography, and trips to the mountains.
Throughout her life she demonstrated her love for family and friends and for God with countless acts of kindness and generosity. Selfless with her time, Alice had a servant’s spirit and worked tirelessly for the church. She poured her heart into her grandchildren and children and carried many people’s burdens to God's throne in prayer.
Loved by so many, missed by all, Alice is preceded in death by her father, Edwin Giger. She leaves behind her loving husband, Michael McDaniel, four children Kristi ( and Jorge) Cisneros of Austin, TX, George ( and Amy) McDaniel, of New Wilmington, PA, Wesley McDaniel and Carl McDaniel of Longmont, CO, and eight grandchildren, mother, Dorothy Giger, and siblings Alan ( and Carol)
Giger, Joyce ( and Bob) Whitehead, Debra (and Richard) Irby.
Our loss is heaven's gain. Rest in peace, dear Alice.
