Obituary for Lori Lee Toubeaux

Print
Lori Lee Toubeaux, age 62 has left us for a special assignment with God on September the 18th 2018. He said it was important, so in true fashion of her generous nature she went to his side and is now comforting the angels. She left her physical self in her apartment in Longmont, Colorado.

Lori was a mother to 3 ornery kids, a nurse and a generous friend to many others. She was born in Peoria, Illinois on July the 11th in 1956. Her Mother was Marilyn Frederick and Father was
Louis Toubeaux. She has 2 brothers, Brian Toubeaux and Gary Toubeaux. Her children are Justin Toubeaux, Sarah Nelson and Emilia Bennett. Lori was so proud of her children, she raised them as a single mother their entire lives. She worked hard at giving them what they needed in life even as adults. Lori truly had an indomitable spirit, and unexpected sense of humor. It often didn't matter what the situation was or who was present she could make the whole room laugh. Lori had a unique ability to find solutions that most anybody else would have never considered. She went to school and achieved a nursing degree to become a loving nurse which she was very proud of. Lori contributed to the comfort and lives of many people in her career making sure to provide care with love to them. She loved stained glass and had a beautiful project with her son and daughter they completed together over about a years time. Lori had an open door for many people over the years who needed help and would hand you her last dollar if she thought you needed it. It’s safe to say Lori had a heart for people and left her mark on anyone she became close to. Lori loved riding on the back of a Harley and has a friend named Danny Ballard who some would say was the love of her life and no doubt one of the closest people to her in this small world. Lori was the glue to her children, always knowing who was doing what. Sunday dinners and Holidays were so important to her, she always tried to bring her children together to celebrate and often times we felt like she had to be a magician to get it put together making sure we had the feast we wanted or the very thoughtful gifts she would give us that would be impossible for most anyone else in her position to give and on Valentine’s Day, she always had a single rose for each of them. There is one thing that stands out for some in looking at the beauty Lori added to this world and that is absolute unconditional love. If she loved you that would never change.
