Life Story for Rodney Kerr

Rodney Kerr, of Longmont, Colorado passed away September 16, 2018 at The Peaks Care Center. He was born August 17, 1931 in Swansea, Massachusetts to Findlay and Jessie Barr (McDougal) Kerr.

In September of 1954 Rodney married the love of his life, Carolle Jean Halliwell, and moved to California where he completed his degree in Engineering. Soon after arriving to the west coast he and Carolle started their family.

Rodney moved to Longmont in 1968 from San Diego, California and worked as a quality control engineer in the nuclear power industry starting primarily with Gulf General Atomic. He retired in 1987.

Rod especially loved watching his children and grandchildren participating in sports and their school activities. He was a lifelong fan of professional sports following the Boston Red Sox baseball team and cheering on the Denver Broncos. Water skiing, boating and golf were just a few of the sports he enjoyed participating in. He loved sharing stories and being with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Carolle, his parents, one brother and two sisters.

Rodney is survived by his three children: Brad Kerr, Pamela M. Adler and Wendy Cloak (husband Paul). Grandchildren: Jason, Courtney, Alexis, Nathan, Noah, Lydia and nine great grandchildren.
