Obituary for June Ferril Tebow

June Ferril Tebow, 94, was born in Clay County, Missouri to Roy L. and Beulah (Eaton) Ferril and moved with her family to Kansas at the age of 2. Her father was Telegrapher & Agent for Union Pacific Railroad. Consequently, family made several moves, following U.P. Line, landing in Eastern Colorado when June was 6.

After living through the Great Depression and surviving the terrible Dust Bowl, family moved to Boulder, CO in 1936. June attended Northside Junior High School and Boulder High School, graduating in 1942.

She married Donald H. Tebow on January 16, 1943 in Boulder. When Donald joined the Navy Seabees in World War II in August 1943, June lived with her mother and stepfather, W.W. and Beulah Kiteley in Longmont, CO. After the war, the couple stayed in Longmont, where their 2 children, Donald Lynn and Kandis Kay, were born.

After a period of “stay-at-home” mom, June was employed as admitting officer at Longmont Community Hospital (now Longmont united Hospital) for many years. She later worked in real estate. She was involved in Girls Scouts and Boy Scouts as the children became involved in those organizations.

She and Donald moved to Estes Park in 1988 and stayed until 2006, when they moved back to Longmont. They were both involved in volunteering in Estes Park. June’s greatest joy was her family. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Longmont.

Preceded in death were her husband of 72 years, Donald, her parents, two sisters, Wilma L. Kingman and Katherine F. Hug and one nephew, Gregory Hug.

Survived by son, Donald Lynn Tebow, daughter Kandis K. Parsons, grandson Ross Alexander, granddaughters, Michelle and Nicole (Rob) Tebow, great grandchildren Jonathan, Alexandra, and Victoria and several nephews.
