Kathleen “Kathy” E. Borden passed away March 23, 2018 at her home in Longmont, CO. She was 80 years old.

Kathy was born on December 25, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI. to Archie and Grace (Robey) Stark. She graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee and was married to Anthony Borden on May 11th 1957.

Together they lived in many places including Illinois, Minnesota, Washington DC, Michigan, New York, Florida and Colorado. Kathy was a homemaker raising four daughters and also taking in over 100 infants from foster care programs. While moving about, she also worked part time as a data entry specialist where in just six months she rose from the bottom to become the supervisor of that section. While living in Washington DC, Kathy was an executive administrative assistant for several retired military personnel. She was a very skilled, organized individual and gave 110% in everything she did.

Church was a huge part of Kathy’s life. She belonged to New Day Christian Church in Port Charlotte, FL and Rocky Mountain Christian Church in Niwot, CO. Over her years she served as a Sunday school teacher and was always very active in many Bible Study and Bible Study Fellowship Groups.

In her free time Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family, doing crafts and gardening. She was loved by everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Kelly Jean Borden and her parents, Archie and Grace Stark.

Kathy is survived by her husband Tony; her daughters Julie Wall (Michael), Sheryl Bach (Lonny), Kelly Beveridge (Grant) and Karen Gerrard (Paul); her brothers Thomas Stark and Richard Stark (Cathy); her grandchildren Christopher (Lani), Andrew (Molly), Zachary, Rochelle (Andrew), Matthew, Nathan, Ian, and Rachael; and her great grandchildren Sadie and Avary.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm, Thursday March 29, 2018, at Rocky Mountain Christian Church in Niwot, CO. Memorial contributions can be made to Rocky Mountain Christian Church in Niwot, or New Day Christian Church in Port Charlotte, Fl. Services are entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
