Barbara L. Sterns, 80, of Ludington, Michigan passed away February 19, 2018 at Longmont United Hospital, Longmont, CO, due to complications of COPD following a brief illness. She was born December 31, 1937 in Ludington to John Oscar and Lorraine Martha (Larsen) Lund.

She graduated from Ludington High School. She married Richard A. Sterns on May 1, 1957.

Barbara was a longtime member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, needlecrafts and most of all, raising her family. Barbara was a wonderful wife, and loving mother and grandmother.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 60 years; four children: Kenda Parkey (Nathan), Alan (Brenda), Todd (Patsy), and Peter (Rachel); two brothers and a sister: Tom Lund (Barbara King), Don Lund (Kay), and Jackie Lund (Bill Gaylor); seven grandchildren: Kallie, Kenni, Abigail, Kyle, Andrew, Blake, and Sierra; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 25 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Riverton. A viewing will be held at the church prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Riverton Cemetery in the spring. Oak Grove Funeral Home is coordinating the arrangements in Ludington.
