Obituary for Lillian Jean Clark

Lillian “Jean” Clark, 97, of Longmont passed away February 16, 2018. She was born July 19, 1920 in North Loup, Nebraska to William Vernon and Eva Mae (Nay) Wright.
Jean married Donald R. Clark on December 3, 1968 in Omaha, Nebraska. They moved to Colorado in 1968.
Jean was a homemaker; she and Don were also owners and operators of Clark Lumber Company and later developed Clark Plaza both located in Frederick, Colorado.
Jean and Don moved to Longmont after retirement; they were members of Heart of Longmont Church. They loved to travel both in and out of the US; she toured Alaska, the Caribbean Islands, and Europe.
Her parents, her husband Don, two brothers Paul and Ray Wright, and a grandson preceded Jean in death.
Jean is survived by three sons: Larry Layten & wife Janie, Jack Layten, Steve Layten & wife Kay, her sister, Patricia Wright, two grandchildren, and seven great -grandchildren.
The cremation has been entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. The private burial will be at Green Mountain Cemetery in Boulder. Jean’s memorial service will be announced later in the spring. If desired, contributions in Jean’s memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
