Carol Ann Peterson, born 5/7/1937 in Avalon, MO & passed away 11/7/2017.

She was the daughter of William Wesley Griggs & Ruth Bernice Esterbrook Griggs. She attended school in Avalon & graduated from Chillicothe H.S. in 1955. She married her H.S. sweetheart Wayne Peterson on 9/30/1956. They just celebrated 61 years of marriage.

Carol Ann was a wonderful wife, mother & grandmother. She took pride in her Christmas Village, Apple Pies & her family. Her grandkids nicknamed her granny apple (apple pies). She loved spending time with her grandkids. Shopping trips, 4-H Carnivals, going to lunch & movies on their first day of kindergarten. She loved her kids and husband more than life itself.

Preceding her in death are her parents, brother Francis Lee Griggs and babies Kathleen & Karen.

She leaves behind her husband Wayne, daughter Sheri (Randy) Noterman, son Larry (Mary) Peterson. Grandchildren Ryan (Michaela) Noterman, Nicholas (Lacey) Noterman, Matthew Noterman, Kayla (Brandon) Chesterfield & Kaitlin (Jody O’connor) Menger. 6 great grandsons & 1 girl on the way.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday Nov. 18, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. A eulogy will be given at 10:30 a.m. The family is requesting memorial contributions be given to the American Diabetes Association in honor of Carol Ann.
