Gary George Lydic passed away October 19, 2017 at his home in Longmont, CO. He was 64 years old.

Gary was born on October 15, 1953 in Sioux Falls, SD to George and Violet (Miller) Lydic. His family moved to Colorado in 1959, and Gary graduated from Central High School in Aurora, CO.

On December 23, 1976, Gary married Mary Crump in Aurora, CO. They moved from Arvada, CO to Longmont in 2015.

Gary began his working career as a janitor for a telephone company, gradually working his way up to become a licensed Stationary Engineer. He also worked as a HVAC Building Manger for commercial high rises. He retired after 30 years.

Gary was a member of the CWA Union. He was known as “Mr. Fix It” to his family and friends due to him helping fix many things around the home and neighborhood. Gary enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, sketching, painting, and loved the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Violet.

Gary is survived by his wife, Mary Lydic; father, George Lydic; son, Donald (Cassie) Lydic; daughter, Chasidy (Kenny) Pennington; sister, Kathy (Randy) Huls; grandchildren, Vincent (Jenny) Lydic, Lexi Lydic, Greg (Ashleigh) Lydic, Kody Pennington, and Hailey Pennington; and three great-grandchildren.
