William “Willy” Ralph Calabrese passed away on July 17, 2017 at University Hospital in Denver. He was 73 years old.

Willy was born on February 20, 1944 in Denver, CO to Ralph and Florence (Slinkard) Calabrese. He grew up in Central City, CO and graduated from Central City High School in 1962. He served as a seaman in the United States Navy from 1961-1967, and worked as a clerk to the admiral aboard the USS Ranger (CVA 61). On July 1, 1967 he married Linda Lieurance. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Willy worked as a purchasing agent for Ball Aerospace and Beach Aircraft; he then went into business for himself, opening Quality Assembly and Manufacturing, and running it until his retirement.

Willy was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He belonged to a genealogy club in Louisville, the Italian American club, and Real Choices where he helped with their fundraising. In his free time Willy enjoyed fishing, cooking for his friends, and playing golf.

He was preceded in death by his wife Linda; his parents; and his sister Patty.

Willy is survived by his son Troy (Debbie) Calabrese; his grandchildren Luca and Aniela; his brother David; his sister Phyllis and his little dog Franco.

Visitation 4:00-6:00 PM with Rosary prayers at 6:00 PM Tuesday August 1, 2017 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Wednesday August 2, 2017 at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery.
