Laura Lea Russell-Sinor passed away July 9, 2017 at Longmont United Hospital after a seven month battle with brain cancer. She was 54.

Laura was born on July 16, 1962 in Kansas City, Missouri to James L. and Donna L. (Swinford) Russell. Her family moved to Arvada, CO from Lees Summit, MO in 1966 and to Longmont, CO in 1967.

Laura attended elementary, middle school and high school in Longmont before her family relocated to Allenspark, CO. She graduated from Estes Park High School in 1980.

Laura first worked at Fisher Chevrolet where she met her future husband, Dan Sinor. The two were married on August 28, 1982 at the (Chapel) in Peaceful Valley, CO. She went on to work various jobs throughout her life, including Bank of Boulder, Times Call and Longmont Small Animal Hospital. She also sometimes assisted her father at his company Honey Do Maintenance before continuing her education at IBMC College in Longmont, where she earned a degree in medical billing and coding. Laura worked as Office Manager for MVP Wellness Center in Longmont.

Laura and her mother’s combined interest in crafts led to joint ownership of “A Little Bit of Everything.” They attended craft shows on weekends where Laura’s ceramics and Donna’s silk flower arrangements were sold. Laura loved helping others and often worked beside her family at their businesses. These included Jim’s Honey Do Maintenance, Dan’s Mobile Service, and helping her mother with silent auctions at the Geological Society of America foundation in Boulder, CO. Laura enjoyed reading, crocheting, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert James Sinor. Laura is survived by her parents, James and Donna Russell; Husband, Dan Sinor; daughter, Becky Sinor Oliver and Husband Abraham Oliver; brother, Brian Russell; and several nieces, nephews, step-children, step-grandchildren, and one step-great-grandson.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 am, Friday July 21, 2017 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
